All nominations for the District Award of Merit are to be turned in by January 17, 2008. After that date, all nominations will be read and confidential selections will be made for presentation at the 2008 Recognition Banquet. After selections have been made, all existing paperwork on those not selected will be shredded. Each year we start with new paperwork and you can put the same people in again who weren’t selected the last time.

• Nominees must be registered scouters.
• Nominees must have rendered noteworthy service to youth.
• Consideration will be given to the nominee’s Scouting position & the opportunity to render outstanding service beyond the expectations of that Scouting position.
• Nominee’s attitude toward and cooperation with the district and council will be considered.
