Dearchiving Instructions

Files available for downloading from Toqua Website that are identified as .zip files by their file name extension have been archived (compressed) to save space and time during downloading. After an archived file has been downloaded, it must then be dearchived (decompressed) on your system before the programs and/or data comprising that file can be used.

A program that is needed to dearchive .zip files is one like:

Get PKZIP Reader

Requires Windows 98 or higher.

Download this file to the hard drive on your PC. Be sure that the zip file you have downloaded to be unzipped is in the same directory with PKUNZIP or that PKUNZIP is in a directory that has a path set to access any file on your system. Then, at the DOS prompt, type pkunzip followed by a space and the name of the zip file you have downloaded. The programs and files included in the .zip file will be generated on your hard drive.

If you have trouble using archived documents, read our trouble-shooting page. This page includes a brief overview of how the documents are supposed to work, which applications run them, and some advice on solving problems with each type of document.
