The Toqua District Activities and Civic Service Committee invites

 all Boy Scouts and Scouters to take part in the 2010 Spring Camporee at the

Spirit of the Scout Law

Dear Scouts and Scouters,
 

The Toqua District Activities and Civic Service Committee invite all Boy Scouts and Scouters to take part in the 2010 Spring Camporee at River Ranch on Old Rutledge Pike near Blaine on the Holston River.

This Camporee will consist of several competitive events. The events will encompass Scout Spirit, leadership, and attributes of the Scout Law. Information on each event is included in the pages that follow. Units will compete as Patrols. First, second, and third place ribbons will be given out for each individual event. A Spirit Award and an award for the Best New Scout Patrol will also be awarded. Patrol flags should be carried and displayed during the Camporee.

The Tower Award will be awarded on Sunday morning to the best overall troop at the camporee. The cost of the

Camporee is 10.00 per participant. This will cover the cost of the Camporee, a patch, camping and site usage fees, program supplies, and recognitions. Preregistration is required and a form is included in this package

The Camporee is limited to Boy Scouts only.

The Saturday night campfire will feature a call out ceremony for the Order of the Arrow. Don’t forget to bring blankets to sit on and flashlights. Parents and siblings are invited to attend the campfire.

The Scout Oath and Law will guide all activities, events and individual behavior.
